Drinks: As expected, the drinks flow constantly and are plentiful. We had breakfast each morning at the buffet (didn’t use room service) and the food was incredible! Fresh fruit, omelets made to order, eggs Benedict made to order, breads, pastries, authentic Mexican food, mimosas, bloody Mary’s, antipasti, you name it. We dined at Toni’s Steakhouse, L’Atelier (French), Venecia (Italian), Haikua (hibachi grill/Japanese). We simply ask the resort to schedule those for us before we arrive and then we can change/cancel as we see fit. Food: Where does one begin? Prior to arriving you are asked which restaurants you would like for reservations, but if you’ve never been here before, you have no idea. Those outlets should all include USB ports with the higher demands in technology. Wishes for the room: More outlets in the bathroom and by the bed. The humidity also keeps clothes from drying when hung on the rack on the balcony, so we ended up hanging those in the bathroom if there was any hope they would dry. The view from there, however, is stunning. However, the balcony is closed on the sides and only open on the front, so it gets almost no breeze and is very hot, so we rarely used it. The balconies in building 71 have breathtaking views of the ocean and come with a wicker swinging chair and a loveseat. The air conditioning in incredibly cold and quiet. There were also glass jars filled with cookies, chips and nuts that were refilled daily. Our only request was extra juice which they filled daily. The mini fridge is stocked daily with beverages of your choice. Rooms: The rooms are spacious and kept immaculate with housekeeping and turn down service daily. We were then taken by golf cart (Mexican limo as the driver called it) to our rooms where they moved our luggage into our rooms. We were traveling with 2 friends who were not Iberostar Club members, and they were allowed to check in with us in the prestige lounge which enhanced their experience as well. Check-in: As club members, we are able to check in at the Star Prestige lounge with incredibly knowledgeable and helpful staff. ![]() This is probably one of the best perks of club membership as far as transportation goes. Fortunately, our driver was holding a sign with our names, so it was clear that was where we needed to go. ![]() The situation when arriving at the airport can only be described as chaos and pandemonium. Airport Shuttle: As the beneficiaries of Iberostar double black club members, we have a private shuttle that takes us to/from the airport directly to the resort, only about a 15-minute drive.
